Staff Spotlight: Cynthia Henriquez

We are very proud to introduce Cynthia Henriquez to you. Cynthia was recently promoted to the director position in our South End school after serving families for seven years in our Kendall Square location as a classroom teacher. Cynthia embodies the values of Pine Village every day in her role as Director, and we are thrilled that she has chosen to grow in her career with us.

Tell us what you love about your job.

What I love most about my job is my involvement with everything that has to do with the operation of the school. I enjoy being here in the mornings and receiving the kids, as well as planning with the teachers and discussing new ideas that will make the school more enjoyable to everyone. The position allows me the opportunity to be creative and take initiatives for us to grow and be the place where families send their children to learn and be cared for.

What are your career goals and dreams?

My career goal is to continue to grow as an educator in this field and here at Pine Village. I have learned a lot and developed professionally working alongside many dedicated professionals.

Who, in your life, has inspired you?

My aunt has had a major impact in my career path. She is someone who I admire a lot for her commitment to helping kids with their learning. Her passion and creativity teaching young children inspired me to follow this path.

I am compassionate and caring towards others. It is very important for me to listen and communicate with people constructively and value their opinions.
