Spanish Tip of the Week: Back to School Vocab

With school back in session and fall in the air, it’s the perfect time to reinforce your Spanish vocab with your little ones. Between getting back in the classroom and so many fun fall activities, there is plenty of different vocabulary words to keep in mind as you are communicating with your child. Continuous repetition and reinforcement is key with raising bilingual children, so the more you practice at home after school and on the weekends, the stronger your child will be able to communicate in both Spanish and English words.

To get you going, here’s  a few vocab words to keep in mind:

School……escuela

Lunchtime……almuerzo

Desk……escritorio

Alphabet……alfabeto

Backpack…..mochila

Pencil——lápiz

Paper…..papel

Writing…..escritura

Fall/Autumn……otoño

Leaves……..hojas

Outside…..afuera

Friends- Amigos
