Announcing Pine Village Kindergarten

As we look ahead to the 2021-22 school year, we thought a lot about our programming and needs of our families. Due to the overwhelming demand last year and continued interest, we’ve decided to launch a Pine Village Kindergarten program, which will be held in our Brighton and Jamaica Plain – South Street locations.

Our school day kindergarten program extends our PreK curriculum and prepares children for success in first grade and beyond. Our fun, engaging curriculum allows children to explore and discover their interests while learning academic essentials.

The schedule will follow our annual Pine Village Preschool calendar, starting on September 8th, 2021 and run through June 24, 22 with an 8am-3:30pm school day and after school care available until 5:30pm. Children must be 5 years old be September 1st.

Pine Village Kindergarten students learn through the Boston Public Schools Focus on K2 curriculum. Focus on K2 was written to help teachers promote children’s creativity and their abilities to collaborate, communicate and think critically. It was written to develop essential literacy and numeracy skills. It was written to connect children with their city. It was written to give K2 students the adventure in learning they deserve. Our curriculum includes BPS assessments and report cards.

The school day will incorporate our core values of love, laughter, learning and language and focus on full Spanish immersion, along with Spanish and English literacy. The K2 curriculum will be broken down in the following themes: Our Community, Animals and Habitats, Construction and Our Earth. Each day will bring new adventures in learning and personal development. We will integrate this program with Pine Village Preschool, including participation in all community events, filed trips and independent playground time.
