Take a Ferry Around Boston
You don’t need to pay for an expensive cruise around Boston – kids are just as happy taking a (free) water ferry ride from the MBTA. Use it as a way to look at Boston from afar or even look into the commuter ferry to head to Hingham or Hull!

One of our favorite Boston attractions for kids is the Mapparium at the Mary Baker Eddy Library. Check it out! After lots of outdoor time, sometimes kids like to take a break inside for a bit to change up their routine!

Boston has an amazing lineup of free outdoor concerts throughout the summer. Whether you are right in the city, suburbs or want to hit it up after work or during the day, there are a variety of options. Pack up a picnic, grab a blanket and head out. Take the Commuter Rail for a Surprise Day Trip
Want to really excite your kids? Tell them you’re taking them for a surprise train ride and go somewhere new. Maybe it’s up to Salem or Newburyport by the water or down to the South Shore, but if you make it an adventure, your kids will love it!
