Our Newton Highlands Preschool

We are located in the historic Newton Highlands Congregational Church on Lincoln St., in the center of the Village. Our space is large, bright and sunny and safely nestled in the lower level of the church, with two onsite playgrounds (one for toddlers and one for preschool children). We are accessible by public transportation, and conveniently located just off Rte. 9 and one mile from I-95.

Please come visit us and watch how we immerse children en Español.

Our Director

PVP NH Director Sylvia Guerrero
Sylvia Guerrero

Hi! My name is Sylvia Guerrero, and I am originally from Queens, New York. I moved to Boston for college and returned to NY but decided that I liked Boston more. I have been living here for seven years and I love it! I have a deep love for this city and all that it has to offer culturally.

I attended Lesley University and received a Masters in Early Childhood Education, Creative Arts in Learning. My teaching philosophy is that children learn best through play and a creative curriculum. I have worked with Cambridge Public Schools and the Cambridge Department of Human Services Preschools, which prepared me to provide excellent learning and nurturing experiences for students under my care.

I lived in Colombia as a child for four years, where I learned Spanish. Having had the opportunity to be bilingual and bicultural is very important to me and I look forward to helping the PVP Newton Highlands children become bilingual. During my free time I like to go bowling at Lucky Strike in Boston and bake cookies. I have just recently started baking so I’m still learning.
